Disco Gold [Ermita, 1979]

By 1979, Ermita was the neon-lit playground of the "Manila Sound." This ink is inspired by the peak of the disco fever that gripped clubs likeWhere Else? and the legendaryStargazer. It captures the shimmering brass of Leandro Locsin’s brutalist architecture reflecting the rhythmic glitter of a spinning mirror ball. It is the color of a city dancing through a fever dream, where opulent champagne toasts met the sweat and swagger of the late seventies.

This ink is a rich, antique gold base with a heavy, metallic yellow-gold shimmer that catches the light like a sequined dance floor.
